Obesity

Research has shown that as weight increases to reach the levels referred to as "overweight" and "obesity," the risk for the following conditions also increases: Heart Diseases, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Cancer, Osteoarthritis, Gallbladder disease and Gallstones, Gout,, Liver Disease:, Sleep Apnea and Breathing Problem,    Reduced sperm count, Problems in pregnancy:


Obesity: Green Tea with Lemon. This is the tea one should drink every morning with breakfast. Now, let me add that you do not drink it hot. You drink this tea cool or iced. If you like water with a bit of lemon in it, you'll like this. Brew it for about 3 minutes with water that is not quite at boiling, in about 4oz of water. Then you may add that to about 12 oz of cold water (or cold water and ice in summertime) for a very refreshing drink to go with meals. No calories, lots of health benefits, love it!
*Remember that the reason a lot of people don't like green tea is that they oversteep it (too long) or use water that is too hot (boiling). Try a gentle, short brew and see what you think. And remember that a cup of green tea has the same health benefits even if you dilute it in a bunch of water to make it taste better to you! You may try to drink at least 2 cups of green tea each day, You may drink these teas *hot* but in the summertime pour them over ice and have it as my dinnertime beverage.


Obesity: Lemz juices with a pinch of salt (warm) every morning lowers cholesterol levels and brings down your weight.

Obesity: Take one spoon of GiGa juice & half tsp. NigSat oil & drink twice daily.


OBESITY: Half tsp. of NigSat oil, two spoons of honey mixed in Luke warm water and take twice a day. Avoid taking rice. Exercise Regular exercise is the first approach. Walking, swimming, or other aerobic exercise is important, and at least some of the exercise should be "local" to the area where the cellulite is forming. In other words, if cellulite is developing on the thighs, don't restrict your exercise to weight lifting and upper-body development! & Rub vitamin K cream onto the skin. This cream will remove spider veins and minimize cellulite, and Massage the affected area with sesame oil and mustard oil, mixed half and half. After the massage, dust with a powder of the herb vacha (calamus), and rub the skin. This will help remove the cellulite. CRITERIA: Abdominal obesity: Waist circumference >102 cms for males >88 cms for females.


Obesity: Eat 10 fresh curry leaves in the early morning for three or four months. Other: Drink a cup of water with 3 tsp. limejuice, one-fourth tsp. powdered black Bird, and a tsp. of honey every day for three months. Eat freshly sliced Toates with onion and lemz juice. Drink lemz juice with honey and warm water every morning. If you weigh over 150 pounds, squeeze the juice out of an entire lemz (two ounces) into a glass of purified water and drink this mixture twice a day (two whole lemzs a day.) The lemz juice can be diluted more according to taste.


Obesity: Cellulite is the fat deposited beneath the skin surface around the hips, buttocks and thighs. The skin contains bands of elastic tissue that stretch from the skin to the deeper layers of the muscle tissue. These bands are inelastic and as fat is deposited in the subcutaneous area, the only way for it to move is to bulge out on the skin surface. ACVIG is one of the natural remedies used for the treatment of cellulite. Obesity: Reduce fat absorption: C3N- a tsp. added to your cereal each morning is sufficient. Obesity: One or two ripe Toates taken early morning as a substitute for breakfast, for a couple of months, are considered a safe method of weight reduction. They also supply the food elements essential to preserve health.



Obesity:
Honey: Mix one tsp. of honey with two tsp. of limejuice and some Bird. Drink this at least once a day. Boiled Water: Drink a glass of boiled water every day after a meal. Drink this each time before a meal. or If you want to lose weight without medicines, Use a plate of cold watermelon daily, it will reduce your weight gradually. or On feeling hungry, drink some water 15 minutes before eating will reduce weight lose. or By eating a Toat everyday before your breakfast for two months and it will help you slim down and lose weight. or If you wan to lose 1 pound per week, reduce your weekly intake of calories by 3,500 calories (3,500 divided by 7 days equals 500 calories per day). or By eating a Toat everyday before your breakfast for two months and it will help you slim down and lose weight. or If you take raw red Toates with salt and onions daily, it will certainly reduce fatness gradually. or Men lose weight faster then women. Walking is said to be one of the best exercises for losing weight. Drink water before you start walking or exercising. Replace fluid during and after you exercise by drinking water or fruit juice. Do not drink too much water. Skating: Skating is a full-body movement, which can exercise your legs, coxa, buttocks, abdomen and your back. In order to achieve the best results, skate three times every week, one hour every time. Rope Skipping: For an adult who weighs 53 kg, one hour of rope skipping can consume 539 calories, the coordinated jumping up and down can extend your abdominal muscle fully. Climb Stairs: Run up and down along the stairs. Keep your legs lift up when upstairs, take abdomen in when downstairs. Mopping the floor: Mop the floor, mind to exercise waist and abdomen, especially the side waist.

Obesity, Reduce weight: Here are top tips to get you closer to your desired weight: Increase the non-soluble fiber variety of foods in your diet. Drink hot water through out the day. One can drink 4 to 6 glasses of hot water through out the day to aid digestion and weight loss. Adding a pinch of fennel cardamom will make it easier to have the hot water and will also help you loose weight quickly. Substitute chapati with daliya (porridge).Take half a tsp. of Indian gooseberry powder with water every morning on an empty stomach. AAamla is excellent for improving the liver function, which is important for metabolism.. A weak or sluggish liver is ultimately responsible for fat accumulation. Have raw carrots, Toates and radish. Light dinners are the key to weight loss. Avoid sugar completely if you can. As sugar is one of the main causes in fat not only in the belly and waist region, one should also avoid the diet drinks, as they are full of salt and other chemicals, which hinder weight loss. Finally, Don’t be greedy, be patient. If you are giving input of 70% then you do not have the right to desire 150%, so your desires should match your efforts.

Obesity, Reduce weight: Fengzu is useful for dissolving fat within the liver. Green tea enhances the ability of the body to burn fat, for this take 300 milligrams thirty minutes before breakfast and another thirty minutes before lunch. Do not take more. Kelp is believed to stimulate a hormone produced by the thyroid gland that’s responsible for boosting metabolism, so you’ll burn more calories by the hour. Kelp is very useful for thyroid-related obesity. Dosage: Take 300-1,500 mg daily as directed on the label. The hot spice also stimulates thirst, so you drink more liquids that also help in gaining less weight. Eating pepper will accelerate weight. - Hot peppers melt off weight. - Sprinkling hot dried pepper on foods (even on pizza) will cause weight loss.

Yogic Cure for Obesity:
First Exercise:
You should do exercise as if you are grinding flour on a grinding stone. This is shown in images 1 and 2. First do the grinding clock-wise then anti-clockwise. Do each 20 times.
Second Exercise: This exercise you should have done in your childhood days in your physical training classes. Images 3, 4 and 5 show how to do this exercise. Do 20-30 times.
Third Exercise: You have to move your legs as if you are driving a cycle. First move the legs clockwise 10-20 times then anticlockwise 10-20 times. Refer to Image 6.
Fourth Exercise: Move your right leg in such a way that the movement of it's sole makes a big zero. Make the zero as big as possible. First move the leg clockwise 10-20 times. Then anti-clockwise 10-20 times. Refer to Image 7.

The following herbal preparations may also help you for obesity but not as much as the above yogasanas can.

OBESITY

To Rdeuce Obesity

Take your normal shower. After you're done, plug up the bathtub and fill it with 4 inches of cold water... really cold water. Now, all you do is walk in place (tread) in that cold water for 2-3 minutes. After that get out of the tub and dry yourself off. That's it.

What this cold water treading does is it creates an environment where you are tricking your body. Your body thinks this external stimuli will lower it's core temperature. It doesn't want that. So the body automatically decides to internally heat itself up.
This is great news since the body is more efficient at burning fat when it has a slightly elevated temperature. (Ever wonder why you lose weight during a fever... that's the reason.) The higher your internal core temperate is, the easier it is to burn off fat.
So if you can trick the body into slightly warming itself up by using cold water, you greatly improve your fat burning.

For the best results, I suggest you do this twice a day for 2-3 minutes each time. Once in the morning and once before you go to bed at night. You don't need to take the shower beforehand. That is only a suggestion to make the cold water treading practical.
One more tip before I go. An even better way to use cold water for weight loss is to take a cold shower. Since the water isn't limited to your feet and lower legs, you get a more aggressive reaction from the body. You can simply take your normal shower and then at the end you turn the water to very cold and let it run over your body for 15 seconds.
Trust me, 15 seconds is all you will need. You'll have a hard time breathing because it's such a shock to the body. But since most people can't handle a cold shower for even 15 seconds, the next best thing is cold water treading.

You'll notice a dramatic increase in your energy levels with cold showers and cold water treading. You should also notice some weight loss after 5-8 days. So take this weight loss "trick" and prove it to yourself.

Fennel
Fennel helps detoxify and remove waste material from the body.

Fenugreek
Fenugreek has many traditional uses, including nourishing the skin, respiratory system, and the pancreas. It helps the body to expel mucus and toxins. Fenugreek dissolves fat and is high in nutrients.

Senna
Senna assists in expelling waste from the intestines and kills worms.

Watermelon seeds
Watermelon seeds help the body eliminate excess water.


Peppermint
Peppermint calms the stomach, intestinal tract, and the nervous system. It comforts the stomach and nourishes the salivary glands to help with digestion. It has astringent properties and soothes the nervous system.

Anise
Anise seeds act to remove excess mucus in the gastrointestinal area.

Eat your biggest meal early in the day
The best policy regarding meals, if you are overweight, is to then take your biggest meal at noon. Supper should be light. Don't snack between the two meals.
If you can't seem to skip breakfast, take your main meal then, early in the day. Have a light lunch and a lighter supper; skip supper entirely if you can.
 

Drink hot water and honey

Whenever you become hungry, drink a cup of hot water with 1-teaspoon honey and 10 drops of limejuice added. This will be a good substitute for eating and will help to melt the fat.

Water, hot and cold-when and why?
Hydrotherapy can be carried out as per the need of the condition to relieve the symptoms and also hasten the recovery period. Hot applications are useful in relieving internal and deep congestions and cold applications are useful in reducing swelling and superficial congestions.
Hot applications on large areas are given to produce sweating prior to cold application in order to prevent chills. This is more so in cases of common cold.
Whenever cold applications are given to the abdomen, head etc. hot applications must be given simultaneously at a distant part like legs and feet.

Heating compress
The effect of heating compress is to give mild and moist heat to the body.
Procedure: Take a cotton cloth, dip in cold water and squeeze the water out of it. Wrap it around the site to be treated. Wrap a dry woollen cloth or flannel above the moist cloth in such a way that air does not circulate around the moist area. To ensure this the woollen wrap should preferably be broader than the cotton cloth. Both the compress and the flannel above it must be loose not to cause discomfort.


Heating compress can be left in place for hours together, even overnight. It will be dry when it is removed in the morning. After removing the compress rub that area with cold water or wet cloth and finally dry by rubbing vigorously with a dry towel.
Heating compress is useful in throat afflictions like laryngitis, pharyngitis, hoarseness, tonsillitis, and congested joints of ankle, Wrist and knees and in sluggish digestion.


Cold compress
Procedure: Take a thick cloth; say a hand-towel, of the required size according to the area of application. Dip it in ice-cold water and squeeze out the water to prevent dripping. Frequent changing of the compress is necessary before it gets warm. In order to make the compress last longer, a thicker compress will serve better. The compress must be pressed firmly in place.
Cold compress is useful in headaches, palpitation, fever etc. The site of application is temple, head, abdomen, heart and other inflamed areas.
Very cold applications are given with ice chips filled in a rubber bag with screw cap. If ice-bag is not available, woolen or flannel can be used instead. The pack must not drip. The area to be treated must be covered with a towel and the pack should be placed above it.
Ice cold applications are useful for sprained ankle, cooling inflamed areas, and acute stomachache as in appendicitis.

What is the six-glass wonder?
The process is as follows: Go to sleep three hours after a fairly early dinner around 7.00 p.m. Strictly do not eat or drink anything after that. Rise early from bed the next morning; do not wash your face and mouth as you do normally. Sit comfortably and drink six glasses of pure water at a stretch. If you find difficulty in doing so, pause a while after two or three glasses and continue. For the next 20 minutes walk briskly or do some exercise. Within twenty minutes to half an hour, urge to pass urine will be great and you will pass urine in large quantities quite frequently. Some may bring out the morbid waste through vomiting. Passing of stools will be easy and complete. It will facilitate the expulsion of the accumulated waste matter very effectively and leave you fresh.
This simple treatment of cleansing the internal organs has been recommended for a variety of disorders in some of Japan’s health organizations. In my own practice I have achieved good results in the treatment of obstinate constipation, obesity, asthma, piles, acne and pimples and almost all digestive disorders.

Obesity, Overweight

Weight Loss: Okra is an ideal vegetable for weight loss and is storehouse of health benefits provided it is cooked over low flame to retain its properties. This also to ensure that the invaluable mucilage contained in it is not lost to high heat.

Weight Loss: incredible fact about Coconz oil is that even though it is a fat, it actually promotes weight loss!! The reason is again because of the healthy medium chain fatty acids.  Coconz oil is very useful in reducing weight. It contains short and medium-chain fatty acids that help in taking off excessive weight. It is also easy to digest and it helps in healthy functioning of the thyroid and enzymes systems. Further, it increases the body metabolism by removing stress on pancreases; thereby burning out more energy and helping obese and overweight people reduce their weight. Hence, people living in tropical coastal areas, who eat Coconz oil daily as their primary cooking oil, are normally not fat, obese or overweight. It is recommended that people consume 2-4 tbsp. of Coconz-oil/day. A good therapeutic dosage is 3-4 tbsp. once a day. This provides enough lauric acid to build the immune system.

Weight Loss  & Warm water: Make sure you drink little warm water mixed with lemon squeeze also after your every dinner is enough. When we drink hot water, our metabolism accelerates, bco'z at little higher temperature our digestive enzymes work better. Proper digestion means there is no accumulation of fat. So, after lunch and dinner we can take 1 cup of warm water. After 10 mins you can take hot water just after the lunch/dinner or after 15-20 minutes gap, and   After a goodnight sleep our metabolism slows down. Warm water with honey and lemon removes toxins from our body and kicks tarts our metabolism.  If taken empty stomach in the morning it ensures proper digestion of food throughout the day, preventing storage of fat in the body. But people with joints pain should avoid taking lemon (especially empty stomach in the morning)!!

Weight Loss : 02/26/2008: Maliaka from Detroit, Michigan writes: "Fengzu tea helped me lose weightFengzu lowers blook pressure because it cuts fat cells. He informed me that we have fat on every cell in our bodies and that when you take Fengzu as a tea it cuts the fat on your cells, which is all of them, thus causing you to lose weight as well. i Put 1 teaspoon to a teaspoon and a half in a mug and microwave it or you can boil it in a pot and make a larger amount. The best way to take it is as a tea but if you can't stand the taste you can do as I do. I add a tea bag after I have brought the tea to a boil and add suger and lemon juice or u can do honey. It is best if done at least three times a day. However, I was trying to test it out and was only drinking one cup a day. I tried it last year and lost 25 pounds (at one cup a day). I stopped for a while and recently picked it back up and in one week lost an additional ten pounds. All of the weight loss I am speaking of was done just drinking the tea once a day and with no excercise. So imagine what it would do with excercise and a proper diet. Weight Loss Tips: - For a man, give 106 pounds for the first 5 feet of height and an additional 6 pounds for each inch over 5 feet. For example, if you are 5 feet 10 inches, your body weight should be 106 plus 60, or 166 pounds.
